Birdish Brand Design

Project parameters:

This was a self-branding project aimed at creating a new online identity for my merch store and later Twitch broadcasts. The logo needed to be easily recognizable, light-hearted, and include a character that I could utilize for later emotes and merchandise.

Basing the mascot off the name Birdish, I went with a chimera design in bright pinks and blues. I also chose to keep the exterior line texture of the logo more “sketchy” to differentiate my brand from the thousands of smooth, refined avatars that have become popular on Twitch.

I created a secondary mascot mark to use in extended branding and as an alternate color palette, giving the overall design more character.

Emotes

With the twitch brand came twitch emotes. True to the hand drawn style that inspired the logo, all of the emotes were hand drawn and the animated emotes were made using frame-by-frame animation techniques.
