Logo design process and introductory deliverables

Create a logo and initial deliverables for a local progressive rock band. They needed a basic brand in order to begin pitching their album to record labels, as well as a shirt design and album artwork.

Notes and key words from client meeting.

Client Meeting

The first step in my design process is meeting with the clients to get a better understanding of their business, their target audience, and the desired goals for their new logo. Then taking notes of important keywords, emotions, and brand guidelines communicated by the client.

The meeting was followed by a round of logo sketches which were then presented to the client.

Logo Refinement

After the client chose the logo sketches they were most drawn to, I designed three refined vector logo marks and paired each with a matching logo font. The client chose from the three options presented and were given a final series of color pallet choices.

Final Logo Design

Lastly I refined the final logo mark and designed the first few sets of deliverables for Roman Pilot’s new brand.

Additional Deliverables

In addition to the logo design, I also worked up some beginning deliverables to get their band off the ground. Deliverables include two shirt designs and an album artwork.

Due to budget restrictions, the client could not afford a custom painted design but still wanted a complex painted style to their album artwork. Utilizing AI generated artwork, we were able to create album artwork that accomplished what the client desired while staying within their budget.
